The Health and Safety etc Act 1974 (also referred to as HSWA, the HSW Act, the 1974 Act or HASAWA) is the primary piece of legislation covering occupational health and safety in Great Britain.
Part 1: This part was mainly made for the general duties such as the HSC and HSE which takes care of the major incidents. This part also general duties such as having the power to create rules, practices, penalties and enforcements.
Part II: This part is about employment medical advisory service. Because of this duty employees and trainees are given relevant information and advice on health and safety at work.
